The castle has a legend - don't they all? that treasure is buried underneath it, but don't bother digging for it , it's supposed to be infected with the plague. Hard to imagine now but Nethy Bridge was once a booming industrial town, centre of thriving concerns in timber and iron ore. The back road from Nethy Bridge to Coylumbridge is a lovely drive - or cycle (I've done it). |
